About Dr Preston
“Personal
histories tell the story of the programs
in the minds, feelings and bodies
of the
individuals - the individual beings
are greater mysteries.” — Dr.
Preston
Dr Preston’s education
included Bryn Mawr College, and the University
of Montana, and she received her Ph.D. from CSPP
in Los Angeles. As a research assistant at UCLA,
she participated in the early years of sleep
research, and she joined the faculty of UCLA
after receiving her Ph.D. She has taught or supervised
students at Pepperdine University, CSPP, Southern
California Counseling Center and Counseling West.
For 30 years she maintained a private practice
as a clinical psychologist in Beverly Hills and
Sherman Oaks, California.
Concurrent with her professional development
Dr. Preston searched for a spiritual path, and
in 1988, she recognized that the surrender meditation
of Yoga best fitted her. She continues to follow
this path to this day.
In 1998, feeling the need to move
beyond the boundaries of psychology, she retired from
the practice of psychology and psychotherapy. Intuitively
gifted, she now brings her years of experience and philosophy
of growth and evolution to help others realize their
essential power and achieve their personal dreams.
